The competition to support the Phonographic Edition of Contemporary Music Interpreters ended last December 30th and had 42 applications.

This contest was created by Braga’27 and the Municipality of Braga to support local music projects in the fields of Electronics, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Rock, and respective subgenres. The winners will have access to four scholarships (two of € 2,500 and two of € 5,000) to support costs related to the recording and production of new phonographic works.

Luís Sousa Ferreira (artistic director at 23 Milhas – Ílhavo, and artistic consultant at Braga’27), João Carvalho (director of Festival Vodafone Paredes de Coura), and Gonçalo Frota (journalist at Público) are the members of the jury that is now evaluating the proposals. The results will be made public next week, on January 26th, on the Municipality’s website.
