Mission Team Coordinator
Cláudia is the mission team coordinator of Braga'27. As Executive Director of the municipal company Teatro Circo de Braga, she also manages the Theatro Circo and gnration cultural spaces, as well as the implementation of the program for the Braga Creative City of Unesco. With a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of Porto and a Master's degree from the same institution, she was, between 2010 and 2013, Financial Director of Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture.
Joana Meneses Fernandes
Executive and Programme Coordinator
Joana is the executive and programme coordinator of Braga'27. Before that, she was the executive coordinator of Braga Cultura 2030 – Braga 2020-2030 Cultural Strategy initiative. Before that, she was a project manager at Opium, a company specialised in consultancy for the creative industries sector. She has a degree in Art and Heritage from the School of Arts of the Catholic University of Porto, where she also obtained a Master's degree in Cultural Heritage Management.
Ana Bragança
Outreach Coordinator
Ana is responsible for Braga'27 outreach programme. Manager, mediator and cultural producer, she is the co-founder of ondamarela, a company that specializes in collaborative artistic projects. She was a project manager at A Oficina, in Guimarães. She was a part of the executive direction of Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture, where she coordinated the areas of reception and marketing. She was a consultant at Opium and a part of the team that developed the addendum to the Candidacy of Guimarães as the European Capital of Culture. She has a degree in Art and Heritage from the School of Arts of the Catholic University of Porto and a postgraduate degree in Heritage Management.

Outreach and Production
Cláudia is responsible for Braga'27 production and also assists the outreach programme. At the same time, she is a freelance artist and illustrator. She has previously worked in the areas of programming, communication and cultural production, at gnration, as well as in the areas of curating, commerce, marketing and artistic production at Zet Gallery. She has a degree in Visual Arts, in the field of Painting, from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, and a Master's degree in Creative Industries Management from the Catholic University of Portugal.
Tiago Azevedo
European and International Cooperation
Tiago is responsible for the European and international cooperation at Braga’27. Combining cultural mediation and architecture, he worked in cultural project management with international audiences and partnerships at Porto Academy, Casa da Arquitetura, Casa da Música and the consultancy Opium. He holds a master's degree in Creative Industries Management from the Catholic University of Porto and in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto.
Carolina Lapa
Communication Coordinator
Carolina is responsible for coordinating the communication of Braga’27. Between 2019 and 2021 she was also responsible for coordinating the communication of Braga Unesco Creative City of Media Arts. Before that, she managed the communication of the artistic project “Comédias do Minho”. She has a degree in Communication Sciences from Universidade do Minho and is currently taking a Master's degree in Communication, Art and Culture in the same school.
Mariana Volz
Communication and Digital Strategy
Mariana is Braga'27 communication manager and is also responsible for the digital strategy. Before that, she won the Passport for Entrepreneurship of IAPMEI with a transmedia storytelling project for the music market, worked at the communication department of Viagens Abreu and at Vitamina. Digital Agency. She has a degree in Communication Sciences from Universidade do Minho and a degree in Tourism from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Natacha Correia
External Relations Assistance
Natacha is the external relations assistant of Braga's candidacy for the EuropeCapital of Culture 2027. At the same time, she is a freelance illustrator. She has previously worked as a journalist and information deputy director at RUM Rádio Universitária do Minho. She also collaborated with Jornal Público and Cape Verde’s newspaper “Liberal”. She has a degree in Social Communication from Instituto Politécnico de Viseu.
Cristina Farinha
Bid Advisor
Cristina is the bid advisor of Braga's candidacy for the European Capital of Cultura 2027 initiative. As an independent expert, she has worked from local and regional to international levels, on the conception, implementation and evaluation of diverse policies, projects and organisations of the cultural and creative sector. Her areas of interest are: the strengthening of the role of culture and creativity in governance and development of societies and territories; the promotion of international cooperation and mobility; and the building of capacity, advocacy and collective organisation within the sector. She has contributed to the ex-post evaluation of ECOC Guimarães 2012 and was part of the selection and monitoring panel of European Capitals of Culture, nominated by the European Parliament, between 2015-2020. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Porto.
Hugo Cruz
Programmme and Outreach Advisor
Hugo is Braga’27 programmme and outreach advisor. He develops his work in the space of artistic creation and participation in different contexts, directing theatre projects in co-construction with local communities. He teaches and publishes in national and international contexts in the areas of artistic creation and public space, community artistic practices and civic and political participation, art and politics, and cultural policies. He is the author of the books “Art and Community” (2015) and “Art and Hope” (2019), edited by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and “Artistic Practices, Participation and Politics” (2021) by Edições Colibri, also edited in Brazil. He is a researcher at CIIE-University of Porto and at CHAIA-University of Évora. Hugo is also part of the monitoring and external evaluation team of the PARTIS / Art for Change Initiative – Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and La Caixa Foundation. He is the artistic director of MEXE_International Meeting of Art and Community.
Eva Gräfer
European and International Cooperation Advisor
Eva is the European and international cooperation advisor of Braga’27. She holds a Masters degree in English & American Studies + Political Sciences and graduated from the Chemnitz University of Technology. She made an Erasmus stay in Porto (Portugal) more than 15 years ago, where she learned the language and became fond of the Portuguese culture. Eva was part of the bidding team of Chemnitz2025, working on different fields related to Europe: European Dimension, International Relations, cross-border cooperation, European Funding, and concept projects. She is also keen on cultural policies, of culture as a language to unite people from different backgrounds and, in general, European integration.
OOF Design
Design
OOF Design is responsible for the communication design of Braga'27 since the Braga Cultura 2030 project. In parallel, the design agency collaborates with the Municipality of Braga in defining the image of the city's culture. It’s the agency behind the cultural strategy of several institutions, having participated, between 2011 and 2013, in the communication of Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture. The team is composed of specialists in Image Design, Communication Design, and Editorial Design.

António Cunha
President of the Norte Portugal Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-N) since 2020. He was the Rector of Universidade do Minho from 2009 to 2017. He is also a Professor at the Department of Polymer Engineering and a researcher at the Institute of Polymers and Composites at the same institution.
António Ponte
Director of the Soares dos Reis National Museum. Former Head of the Regional Directorate for Culture of the North. Former director of Paço dos Duques de Bragança, in Guimarães, and coordinator of the Museum of Vila do Conde.
D. José Cordeiro
Archbishop of Braga since February 12, 2022. Before, he was the Bishop of Bragança-Miranda since 2011. Member of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments since 2016. Within the scope of the Portuguese Episcopal Conference, he is the President of the Episcopal Commission for Liturgy and Spirituality since 2014, a member of the Permanent Council since 2017 and a delegate to the International Eucharistic Congresses since 2018.

Full professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto, specialized in Portuguese Literature. Vice-President of the Serralves Foundation. Former Minister of Culture of Portugal, between 2005 and 2008.
Joana Aguiar e Silva
Vice-rector of the University of Minho for Culture and Territory. Currently an associate professor at the University of Minho Law School.
Laura Castro
Head of the Regional Directorate for Culture of the North. Former director of the School of Arts of the Catholic University of Porto, where she is a researcher at the Centre for Research in Science and Technology of the Arts.
Luís Braga da Cruz
Chairman of the Board of Founders of the Serralves Foundation in Porto from 2016 to 2018. Minister of Economy of Portugal from 2001 to 2002 and former chairman of The Northern Regional Coordination and Development Commission.
Luís Pedro Martins
President of the Regional Tourism Entity of Porto and North of Portugal since 2019. He was responsible for the Communication and Marketing of Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Porto. Between 2014 and 2019, he was Executive Director of Torre dos Clérigos. He has a degree in Design from ESAD and a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management from the University of Porto.
Maria João Bustorff
Conservation and restoration specialist. President of the Board of Curators of the Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva Foundation. Former Minister of Culture of Portugal, between 2004 and 2005.
